For this project, I created a user interface prototype for user testing while I researched and gathered information and created goals, personas, competitive analysis, site content, and site structure. Over the past 12 weeks, I focused on creating a well-structured layout for both mobile and web while incorporating the human factor aspect.

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT
I selected a website that needed an update and that was the Second Look Consignment Store. This website was and still is, in desperate need of an update! There were various challenges during this project, from user testing I noticed there were many problems with this design. Incorporating a search button being an important element with this design and having less space when designing for mobile.
Background
The process here was to first focus on what was the goal for this website? The main goal was to focus on the search being the main highlight for this website as it is a retail store and the end result is to find a product that you’re looking for. There is no purchasing flow within this website but I wanted to focus on the most high-level component of this website, which was where do you go to find a specific product and are you able to find it without any added frustrations along the way.
Some key achievements of which I have listed below:
Creation of Goals, Personas, Competitive Analysis. This was a great project to work on as it wet extremely in-depth with researching and following the correct steps!
Site Structure, Wireframes, Click Test, Style tile, Usability Hub and Invision. Once the personas were created, I reviewed the site structure and updated it based on other competitors along with the creation of low-fidelity wireframes and testing within Usability Hub and Invision, I compiled a large PDF of all of the research and this was an extremely in-depth project that offered an immense amount of data at the end resulting in user-friendly website that should’ve been created from the start!
Personas
I worked on creating a few personas but the specific type of individual that would be coming online to do some second-hand shopping!
Wireframes
I created low-fidelity wireframes and worked on a Click Test, in order to test the user flow of the specific layout. Which the main goal here was to update the flow of how a user finds a specific product. As what I was only focusing on for this project, was to see where a user would click in order to find a “White Sweater.” Once I received feedback from the Click Test, I was then able to synthesize this information and make adjustments to the wireframes.
Invision Test
At the end of all the research, I was able to create an updated version based on the specific area of research we were covering. Which was where would a user want to find a product? And how we can create an extremely user friendly experience but also allow the user to have an experience that is wanting them to come back and browse more products.
Usability Test
At the end of conducting Pre-tests, Preference Tests, and Click Tests I created a Usability Finding Report to showcase the entire process of how I went about creating a new user flow/update to the website Second Look Consignment Store. The feedback from the participants was positive from it being modern, clean, to having a beautifully designed interface. Of course there will always be problems with the general interface design and it is great to receive feedback and perform specific tests in order to find out where the problems are and try your best at creating simple and easy to navigation for your audience.
