Lead UX/UI Designer, UI Design, User Experience Design, Collaboration with Junk Theory Client, focus on user friendliness of Mobile and Desktop, Presentation to Client, Collaborating with Client

DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

At my last company, Ballistic Arts, I would present to many important clients, such as Junk Theory. We had such a fun and creative project with them, I expressed my concern over the proposed creative idea that UBC presented to us as we were under a tight timeline. I communicated to UBC that, due to the timeline we can offer storytelling type of design and it can be completed within the estimated time. UBC loved the project so much to the point where they’re re-using the layout each year!

Background

I got the opportunity to work with this client Junk Theory at a past company I worked at, Ballistic Arts! This project was also lots and lots of fun as it’s something that I’m interested in as well. Being a sustainability focused company, with beautiful content to offer this was a project that I loved working on. They already had their branding in place and I couldn’t stop looking at all the beautiful photos of the Earth but I also got to learn about what this company does. Where their promise is to keep clean products, strive to enable a deeper connection to nature, inspire movement to eliminate toxic packaging.

Some key achievements of which I have listed below:

Experience in designing e-commerce website. I’ve had a some experience with designing for e-commerce but this project was where I needed to create a user flow to showcase the overall e-commerce check-out.

Focused on menu, search, CTA buttons, product listings and details. It’s extremely important to focus in on the creation of the menu, to help improve conversion rates. While also focusing on the creation of product listings and details, enhances the shopping experience.

Focused on shopping cart, check out process, loading speed, responsive design and personalization. These are also key components for when you’re designing for e-commerce. Offering a personal touch to your website, allows more user engagement!

Junk Theory End Result

I love this project so much but I’m missing the low-fidelity, site architecture, along with more brainstorming for inspiration but I really wanted to showcase the end Result of this website because I’m again very proud of how this website has turned out and here are a high-fidelity wireframes showcasing both mobile and desktop layouts.

End Result

After many meetings, presentations, iterations, working with the graphic designer, we were able to produce an amazing website!
